About THAT MOODY CHIC
I’m a model and actor based in Los Angeles, with a love for personal style (especially anything 70s and rocker chic), travel, lifestyle, current events, and giving advice. I was born in Okinawa, Japan and grew up a tall, awkward kid in Riverside, CA to Marine Corps parents. I’m of Italian, British, Scandinavian, Mali, Benin/Togo, and many more descents (thanks to Ancestry DNA results).
I went to San Diego State University for Political Science and dance, feeling the pressure to do something 'less risky' and more vocational. But I wasn't happy and decided to change gears to pursue my dreams of modeling and acting in LA. Having grown up as a dancer and doing theatre, I dreamt of becoming an artist. Since then, I've have had the opportunity to travel and work in amazing places like Cape Town, South Africa and Beijing, China. Notable clients include: UNIQLO, Old Navy, Shea Moisture, Coca Cola, Facebook, Hennessy, Cosmopolitan Online, Ouidad, Alice & Olivia, Piaget, SAKS 5th Ave, Bloomingdales, Diane Von Furstenberg, LA Fashion Week, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week China, and more. You can see me in the upcoming short film trailer, Unddrcvjrr Lovyyuurs, also starring Jerod Haynes, and directed by 3 time MTV award winning and Grammy nominated director, Jonathan Augustavo.
Some friends find me goofy and outgoing, while others find me rather serious and reserved. That Moody Chic celebrates and reflects that versatility of life in women and the love for living life differently and how you feel every day, with a little bit of edge. I've always disliked the idea of being put in to a box or "type." In addition to personal style, I provide model and acting tips, places to eat and travel, as well as social awareness with current, ongoing issues in our society and culture today. I love pizza, art museums, am afraid of heights but love to hike, Cape Town (lived there), am obsessed with Depeche Mode, and am a terrible guitar player.
