Music Spotlight: Alanis Morissette

With friend Samantha Johnson post Alanis Morissette concert, Santa Barbara Bowl

Growing up in the 90s, my love for music was filled with strong indie female rock singer songwriters and angst-y music. Honestly, not much has changed today. With more energy than ever, Alanis Morissette glided across the stage with full gusto and heart at the Santa Barbara Bowl on September 27th. She started off with one of my favorite songs, “All I Really Want” from Jagged Little Pill and the audience (and myself) were up on our feet and happily singing along. The show was a full on 90s indie rock flashback, playing most of the songs from her debut album. The teenage Kendall inside of me was filled with joy. You can tell she was having a great time on stage, as the entire set was full of energy and passion. She slayed and sounded & looked amazing!
